How did “Ideas and Healthy Food” start?

I would have never thought that in a pandemic, I would find something that I love to do. This blog started as a personal motivation account, to improve my diet and I used it as a photo diary (if there is such a thing), where I uploaded photos daily, to keep track of what I had eaten that day. After uploading the same breakfast more than three times, I realized that it was not the most attractive thing.
So by January 2020, starting a healthier routine in my life, I started looking for restaurants and healthy options within CDMX, Mexico City.
And so it began where I uploaded photos tagging the brands and restaurants that I liked the most. In fact it was called "Healthy Spots CDMX".
At this point I didn't even take it as a hobby, let alone something serious; it was just a way to not clog up my personal Instagram, with food photos that my other friends probably didn't want to see.
Then it was March 2020, we were officially in quarantine and I could no longer go out to take photos of restaurants, so I had to give the blog another twist and start uploading my own meals, just like before. This time I decided to get more creative with my breakfasts and meals and although I no longer uploaded the same breakfast every day, they were definitely very ordinary photos and recipes.
But with time, it became something of my daily life that helped me stay happy during a pandemic where my routine had completely changed. I met a group of friends on Instagram who motivated me to continue, we continued to support each other and that's how the level of the recipes increased and had a more formal touch.
Then by July 2020, some brands noticed what I was doing and they gave me the opportunity to collaborate with them. The fact of doing something for a brand motivated me to give more than what I was doing before, because I felt an enormous responsibility. Right at this point, I found the perfect mix of my career (marketing) and my now passion, cooking. But I was not getting paid at this point.
My purchases were now dishes, tableware, flours and chocolates to improve and raise the level of the recipes, and before I least realized it, I was already more than delighted with everything I was making. It was obvious, I spent hours watching videos for inspiration, in cooking stores to find the ideal dish for the photo and not to mention the thousands of videos on photo and video editing that I watch for pleasure; the genuine and simple pleasure of giving a little piece of my creativity in the form of a recipe.
I am not a chef or a pastry chef, but I am very passionate about what I do. My main goal with this blog is to give people who, like me, have searched for healthy food options and recipes that they love and would like to enjoy any day of the week. I want to be able to show that healthy doesn't have to be boring and show ideas that can change the way we see food. My best advice would be to find something that distracts you and gives you peace of mind when you do it; we are going through an experience where our routine has changed.
